Amco Product Authentication systems are based on two distinct technologies: taggant technology and detection technology. Our taggents are effective in many substrates, such as plastics,inks, adhesives, paper, composites, metal, film etc. Our detectors are designed around specific applications and customer requirements. These turnkey systems enable you, as the brand owner (OEM) to secretly tag your products and/or packaging (bottles, caps,blister, varnish, paper, ink) and then authenticate your products at retailers or distributors to determine if they are fake, and aid in prosecuting counterfeiters.

PROCESSING

No processing changes are typically needed after including taggents in thermoplastic materials. Most taggents can withstand processing temperatures consistent with many thermoplastics materials processing parameters, and are also able to withstand exposure to many chemicals, UV, adhesives, and other outside influences. Taggents can be compounded into color concentrates or virgin materials or added at the machine during processing.

BIO-COMPATABILITY and FDA

Select taggents available from Amco meet both ISO 10993 Part 11and Part 12 for Bio-Compatibility and FDA Code of Federal Regulations, Title 21 -Volume 3 -Part175 (21CFR 175.300.)
